2023-24 Catechetical Ministry, PreK-8th Grade

Dear Families,Catechetical Ministry (Prek-8th grade) for the 2023-24 ministry year are all IN-PERSON sessions! We will continue with basic sanitary protocols such as:
A. Sanitizing desks/tables before and after each sessions.
B. Hand sanitizers in each class.
C. Air purifiers in each classroom.
D. Each child will be given their own pencil pouch with basic supplies (pouches will remain with catechists)
E. Mask will remain an option.
F. Catechists will have extra masks. The Catechetical Ministry Office will also have additional masks.All PreK-6th grade will be held IN-PERSON, every Sunday (with some expceptions) from 10:50-12noon. Please see calendar below for exact dates.
In addition, we still have two family sessions for the 2023-24 ministry year! One in the first semester and one in the 2nd semester. All children within PreK-6th grade with their families will be encouraged to attend for an IN-PERSON family session. These family sessions will include: (A) small family catechetics, (B) small faith sharing, & (C) pastries, goodies, and coffee (and juice)! Please see calendar for exact dates. Please note: Parents are not to leave children alone in any of the two family sessions.
All Junior High (JH) Edge Ministry, 7th-8th Grades, will be held IN-PERSON every Tuesday (with some exceptions) from 7:20pm-8:30pm at the parish school. This includes Eucharistic Adoration once a month during the ministry year. Please see Edge Ministry calendar for exact dates. -
2023-24 Curriculum "At-A-Glance":
PreK & Kindergarten: Promise, Pflaum, Publisher. IN-PERSON sessions only
1st – 6th Grade:Word of Life Series, by Augustine Institute IN-PERSON sessions only.
2nd Grade “Restored Ordered” Sacramental Prep Classes: Pflaum - "Together In Jesus", Reconciliation, Confirmation & First Eucharist. Parent Led, with online resources & director's support
7th-8th Grade, JH Edge Ministry: Edge Progam (by LifeTeen). IN-PERSON sessions only.
Finally, all sessions, Prek-8th, will focus on three elements throughout the ministry year:
A. Knowledge of Faith
B. Community building
C. Relationship with Jesus Christ.
Overall Goal: Build Young Missionary Disciples of Christ! -

Weekdays: 9:00am-11:00am & 1pm-5pm (Closed Wednesdays)
Weekends: 11:00am-5pm Saturdays
9:30am-11:30am & 3pm-6pm Sundays
